Here at The Mad Turk we aim to cook traditional, rustic Turkish Cypriot food. Dishes enjoyed by past generations, prepared fresh daily using ingredients supplied locally.
Head Chef/owner Kaz runs this family restaurant with his wife Shelly, supported by a wonderful young team and often assisted by the extended family, brother’s, mothers and fathers.
Kaz says “Having grown up in a family where restaurants were a living but food a passion it has always been an ambition to have my own restaurant. I have set out to provide the simple and honest Turkish meals I grew up with”. Shelly adds “It’s our hope our diners experience the relaxed hospitality of a Turkish Cypriot home, maybe try belly dancing if they fancy a jiggle at the end of the night accompanied on the Doplek “drum” by Chef Kaz”!
