The Mad Turk, Stamford Restaurant – Traditional, rustic Turkish Cypriot food


KazHere at The Mad Turk we aim to cook traditional, rustic Turkish Cypriot food.  Dishes enjoyed by past generations, prepared fresh daily using ingredients supplied locally.

Head Chef/owner Kaz runs this family restaurant with his wife Shelly, supported by a wonderful young team and often assisted by the extended family, brother’s, mothers and fathers.

Kaz says “Having grown up in a family where restaurants were a living but food a passion it has always been an ambition to have my own restaurant.  I have set out to provide the simple and honest Turkish meals I grew up with”.   Shelly adds “It’s our hope our diners experience the relaxed hospitality of a Turkish Cypriot home, maybe try belly dancing if they fancy a jiggle at the end of the night accompanied on the Doplek “drum” by Chef Kaz”!

We are unable to take email bookings via the website from Wednesday 24th till the Wednesday 31st August 2016.  To make a reservation please call the restaurant from 5 pm Monday to Thursday, 4.30 pm Friday and from 11 am on Saturday.  We apologise for any inconvenience.
